Mark is also very active in Aquatic First Aid training. RTA based in Warrington is a Royal Yachting Association Recognised Teaching Establishment offering RYA First Aid Courses, which are based on recommendations from the HSE and Marine & Coastguard Agency. The RYA First Aid course is completed in one day, the qualification is necessary to maintain your Yachtmaster or Dinghy Instructor qualification. It also meets the needs of British Canoe Union (BCU) Level 3 Coaches. Typical cost £59, including full colour St John / Red Cross manual and RYA First Aid certificate.

BCU Lifeguards Aquatic First Aid Training.
Mark is a BCU Level 3 Kayak Coach and Bell Boat Helm. To compliment the RYA first aid course RTA also offers the BCU Lifeguards Aquatic First Aid Training ~ Level One Courses. Which are specifically aimed at the canoeing fraternity, including up to Level 3 Coach. This course is completed during a one day session. Typical costs including full First Aid Made Easy manual and certificate: (£56 BCU members) (£59 non-BCU members).
The new Level 2 BCU Lifeguards Aquatic First Aid Training (16 hour) course can also be provided as can the 4 hour Primary First Aid please contact to discuss.
Well known centres charge £75 or more for the same one day courses so the RTA courses represent real value for money, particularly considering the current manual is included. Mark has supplied the RYA First Aid and BCU Lifeguards Level 1 Aquatic First Aid to Scout and Guide Leaders, RYA Instructors, RN Trainees, BCU Affiliated Canoe Clubs, RYA Yacht Clubs and individuals.

RTA have no open courses planned at present but get a small group of 4 or more and I can probably put a course on for you either RYA First Aid or BCU Lifeguards Aquatic First Aid, weekends can be accomodated.
