RLSS UK & STA NaRS Courses

RTA is a provider of Pool Lifeguard Lifesaving Awards in Cheshire and surrounding counties through the auspices of both the RLSS UK and the STA NaRS programmes. We strive to achieve a high standard for delegates attending such courses. We also provide the in-house staff training for pool staff at two centres.

Royal Lifesaving Society UK Awards

Mark is a RLSS UK Lifesaving National Trainer Assessor (Member No 30008582) he can direct various coaching courses and specialist modules. He is also a RLSS / IQL Pool Lifeguard Trainer Assessor (Units 1 & 2) and is often available for course assessments / staff training within the area at IQL Approved Training Centres.

Employer's please consider ~ swimming pools carry inherent risks to your customers, are your staff appropriately qualified and importantly receiving regular in service training? Have you read the advice in the Management of health and safety in swimming pools (HSG179)? Mark can advise you on your swimming pool needs and suggest potential solutions. For example the National Rescue Award is ideal for swimming and school teachers.

RLSS UK Lifesaving & Pool Lifeguard Trainer / Assessor Courses

What will you gain?
This course is delivered in conjunction with the Active Training Network. Upon successful completion of this course and probationary period- you will have achieved the either RLSS UK Lifesaving TA or RLSS UK Pool Lifeguard TA and possibly the ISRM Unit 2 TA, or all 3 awards to Probationary Status. This will depend on which RLSS Units etc. you complete. The course is delivered by Conrad Horn Pool Lifeguard NTA and Mark J. O'Dell Lifesaving NTA and Pool TA.
For Example
Unit 1 Generic Train the Trainer (1 day) Unit 2 Generic Train the Assessor (1 day)
Unit 3 Trainer the Life Support TA (1 day) Unit 4 Trainer the Pool Lifeguard TA (2 days)
Unit 5 Train the Lifesaving TA (1 day) ISRM Unit 2 Site Specific Trainer (1 day)

Unit 1- 30/11/10, Unit 2 - 01/12/10, Unit 3 - 02/12/10, Unit 5 - 04/12/10.
Pool TA units can be arranged on 6+7/12/10. ISRM Unit 2 TA on 08/12/10

Swimming Teachers' Association NaRS Programme

Mark is a STA NaRS Pool Lifeguard Teacher and Examiner, (member no: AM14538) he can provide the NaRS Pool Lifeguard Lifesaving Awards in Cheshire and surounding areas such as Pool Attendant / Poolside Helper Awards and Pool Safety Award ~ more flexibility for our customer base. The Pool Attendant is award very popular. It is ideal for small pools with restricted entry, e.g. hotels and leisure clubs.

Mark is also in touch with Tutor's who can train you to become a STA NaRS Teacher Examiner so you can run your own awards like Pool Attendant or STA First Aid courses. Contact him for advice.
